Anns love of the southwest is reflected in her brightly-colored paintings. She has
emphasized the tricultural traditions of the region in her paintings of its people. Ann
is largely self taught but has studied figure drawing with noted artists Carl Coker and
Joe Hidalgo,and has studied watercolors in workshops with various artists. Ann paints with pastels and watercolor, preferring pastels for portraiture. Recently, Ann has turned to another passion in her pastels of florals. Ann has been poster artist for
the Southern New Mexico Wine and Chile Festival and for the St. Genevieves
Festival. She was in an invitational group showing in the Governors Gallery in
Santa Fe. She served two years as co-chairperson for the Mesilla Valley Regional
Invitational Show when she was affiliated with the Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery.
Presently, Ann is limiting her gallery participation to the Galeria on the Plaza in
Old Mesilla, NM.
